Dust Bunny Takeover

You play as a Roomba in the dorm of a student who held a party the night before an RA room inspection. You must team up with The Cat to fight the valiant dust bunny population and make the room presentable.

Completed in 48 hours for the Gacha Jam, in which participants roll a genre, feature and theme to make a game with. Our team rolled RACING, RUNNER, and SWORDPLAY.

Due to limited time, we did not fully implement all the features. You can view the menus in the screenshots section of the itch page.

When you encounter a dust bunny, imagine they are screaming one of the following 10 lines:

1. “Maim!”
2. “Murder!”
3. “Kill! Kill! Kill!”
4. “Today is a good day to die.”
5. “I came to make dirt and kick ass—and I’m running out of dirt!”
6. “Say hello to my little friend.”
7. “Are you prepared to die?”
8. “I will kill you again and again!”
9. “We’re gonna need a bigger knife…”
10.  “You will not take us alive!”

Slash them with your blade to gain a speed boost. Miss and destroy a piece of furniture instead, and it's game over.
